  7. Hard Rubber on Backhand Side

Hey guys, Recently I noticed a weird preference on my part. Normally, I hear everyone taking a a slightly softer rubber on their backhand, because it engages at lower speeds where the hard rubber does not. What I noticed is that I prefer the opposite. In fact a bit harder rubber on the backhand...

  10. Why Penholders Use Hard Top Plies?

Just wondering... Ma Lin, Wang Hao, Xu Xin all use blades with walnut top ply. Why do you think they use a hard top ply? Ma Lin loop-drives a lot, but Wang Hao's and Xu Xin's game are more about looping at mid-distance. Won't a soft top ply help generate more spin?
  11. Advice needed: DHS Tin Arc3 or Tin Arc5 [Mid hard] for Backhand

Hi All, I have bought a HL5 blade. Looking forward to use a Tin Arc3 or Tin Arc5 probably 2.0 mm on Backhand. I usually do top spins on counter, sometime backhand flip to open the game and the rest is block or push. I am already using a T05 on FH which I am loving it and gaining control. Let...
  12. Should i get both soft rubbers or 1 soft and 1 medium-hard?

Hi everyone, Currently, as my rubbers, i have xiom vega europe on both sides. Both rubbers are soft. As of now, i am planning on switching as these rubbers aren't as good as when i was learning. They produce a decent amount of spin and speed but not as much as i would like anymore. Now, i am...
  13. How to push long and hard?

In my opinion, long pushes can be as important as short pushes for non-pro players. A long, fast and hard push can create trouble to the opponent, even if he can attack it, the loop cannot be too strong, gives you an opportunity to block it easily or counter attack. Normally, I only push long...

  20. Best backhand rubber you've used on a Medium Hard Blade?

Hey! I'm just trying to get suggestions for backhand rubbers. I'm entirely sure what to look for yet because I've only been playing hardbat games so far.
