I've been reading that BH dominant players use the reverse pendulum and that FH dominant players
use the pendulum however it's not making sense. It's obvious when you watch Zike, FZD and ML that
it's true. But...when you pendulum serve with back sidespin, it's
common for your opponent to easily...
Helloooooo,
Here's a short video I took last night of me and my team mate doing a serve and receive drill....its not exactly game intensity as I was just back from a longish injury break, but would love feedback on anything I could work on. The drill was theoretically push returns off short...
Hello everyone, hope you all are good. Today I want to talk about serve. When I am talking about my serve, every one just say, "Your serve is so easy to read and receive. You can't deceive your opponent with your action, it's so simple." Now my question is how to make deception in serve? Please...
I wish I could do or at very least, know how to do Liam's serve at 4:13 in the video in the link below...
It would be greately appreciated if anyone could kindly give me some tips...
Thanks in advance.
When I serve my backspin, after it goes onto the opponents side of the table, the ball will not travel back towards the net (see below for Mizutani serve) and even when it goes onto the floor I notice the ball doesn't really travel back in my direction at all.
So i'm wondering, is it important...
currently my standard backspin serve is quite heavy in sidespin but not as much in backspin, maybe 75% side and 25% back from what I notice. I brush down the backside of the ball, at the 4 o'clock position, but still lots of side and barely any backspin.
I can do a heavy pure backspin serve...
Hi
Pls see the illustration, when my opponent serve spinning ball to my side, the ball usually will land on the table and then "swing" to right side (green color).
When is the best timing to hit the ball (upon bounce up?) if i want to attack back?
So, the last time i saw the Video posted by someone here in TTD throttled my insecurometer over the maximum limit and its time to get back into the field to test the alternative hypothesis. Feel free to comment, I got better ones later in the practice here is the unedited version.
I get...

Hi everyone, the recent competition on the Stiga Carbonado Blade provided me an opportunity to observe and Study how Par Gerell does his serve. In this video, I have tried to explain one way of how reverse side-topspin and backspin serves work with similar motion
I believe Par has many ways to...

Sometimes in my free time I like to keep the fun aspects of table tennis alive and give myself a challenge.
Yesterday the challenge was to hit a quarter (25c) with a long serve.
Gang,
I have a question about how the top pros get ready to ready to receive serve. Many seem to crouch way down to almost table level and appear to be staring at the server. I previously thought this was to get a better view of the ball to read spin. But, immediately after the ball has been...
