Hi everyone,
I am curious to know why Der Materialspezialist released three new TTR Hunter Extrem Soft, Medium and Hard rubbers in 2.6 and 2.9mm thickness.
Are they just making it thicker for marketing purposes to get more sales or is there a benefit to such thick sponges?
I am currently playing with Dignics 64 in 2.1mm thickness and already feel more than enough catapult and ball length playing away from the table. What would adding extra 0.8 mm do to it?
Also tried Zyre 03 in 2.5 mm and some other hard rubbers in 2.15 - 2.3 mm thickness. Fun to play away from the table so you don't fatigue from long distance rallies, but the short game is very difficult.
Are these thick-sponge rubbers meant for Adam Bobrow's playstyle?
Are there particular blade types that work best with these fat sponges? 2.9 * 2 that's 5.8 (core thickness of viscaria lol)
Let's assemble these fat rubbers with a thick Dr. Neubauer balsa blade and play 25 meters away from the table.
