Sone one just reviewed that Hurricane Wang acB is not as good as Harimoto alc.

Can you share that review with us? Screenshots are enough or a summary by you. So I suppose the blade that it’s the most comparable to is Harimoto Alc?

Use VOC glue!!

That splintering is the case with every DHS blade, even provincial w968 which I own had that.
You need to seal it slightly before first use

I used the expensive Nittaku blade seal for my provincial W968. It kept on splintering until I read a post which says VOC glue has sealing effect.

So I put 2 layers of VOC on my 968. Not a single splint ever since. Strong adhesion but much easier to peel rubber off than water

Yes it comes off more easily than water based. I don’t know why tbh

Good news, review on HL 5A (first outer ALC), 6.19mm thickness.

In summary, a very linear HL5 but spinner than other outer ALC blades. It has almost an identical feel to Butterfly Lin Gaoyuan ALC

Every time. It’s absorbed by the blade very well and doesn’t leave any rubbery residue on it

Beside blue alc, it also has koto top ply instead of Limba. That explains, why the reviewer said, it has a crisper BH.

I did. The qc of this is just that poor

Got mine and you were totally right. The qc is just a joke. Even 20€ blades have a better surface of top ply than hurricane king q.
I used 3 ultra thin layers of revolution sealing which I wiped of directly and sanded it gently down, every time it dried.
Rubbers attached well, did not take them off by now. Let’s see…
The surface however got a lot better with this procedure

It seems like limba to me as well and I hope so cause there are too many koto outer carbon blades now

I received my acB blade today. The quality control is a joke. The lower wings of the head are not symmetrical. The core veneer has a crack (no idea how deep it goes). Luckily I can return it.

Some users said the feel is not solid. Not really sure what it means.
