This looks like an awesome setup!
I used to coach a player called James Meyers, who actually won the Deaf UK Championships in 2013. Coaching him was fascinating because we had to approach the game so differently. We spent a lot of time working on pure feeling, slowing the ball right down, focusing on brushing rather than over-hitting, and really understanding the contact on the racket.
It’s surprising how much we rely on the sound of the ball for feedback without even realising it. Because James couldn’t use that cue, he developed an unbelievable touch and sensitivity to the ball. It was a totally different coaching challenge, but one of the most rewarding ones I’ve had!
