Arrived in Tokyo

Hey all. Just arrived in Tokyo. Didnt bring my gear or a playing partner. Just wondering if anyone has recommendations where to go to have a good hit with like minded players in the area. I’m here for another week. Please help. I guess im beginner to intermediate level

Just interested in places where people usually meet up to play.

Go to any sport center and ask the staff (in japanese) when will they have table tennis matches.

Japans kind of hard if you dont know the language, but maybe theres some expats in here that can show you where to play. I never tried to play in Tokyo, so I cant really help you, but im positive someone around here will . Japan's awesome, enjoy yourself.

I love Japan. People are very considerate of others around them, well mannered and its nice and quiet. I will keep practicing my Japanese and try out the sports centre.

I have read of some Bars where you can play Table Tennis, might be fun aswell. Never went there in my visit so not sure how it works

Yea i saw a few where you have to pay for a drink every 15 mins or 30 mins and when your 30 mins are up you cant play anymore or you get charged for the next time slot. Not really interested so much in the drinking part though. Prefer just playing 😎

Yea but not sure if they all take in visitors from overseas that dont speak Japanese so was looking for recommendations. We are not so close from all of them so was going to prepare travel.

Not sure about the culture, but I assume most clubs should quite welcome an occasional/first time visitor

I joined a group training in Yoyo Takkyu with ultra basic japanese skill. No one could speak english, including the trainer. Nonetheless they welcomed me nicely 🫶
