Hey TTD family!

My UK based team is looking for some European clubs to play against in September 2025 (dates to be confirmed!)

We have absolutely no preference as to where to go, so I’m looking for suggestions of European clubs who would be happy to have a friendly match next year!

We are looking for multiple clubs, and we’ll have a car so happy to drive between them.

Any and all suggestions are very welcome!

Over to you! 😊

That is cool.
I think it is important to state the level you want to play against.
Some parts of Europe have pro teams.
the higher divisions would obviously not be fun if your level isn't up there, and like wise with "too low" division teams.

That's the million dollar question!

Let's get some obvious ones out of the way.....

Pro's.... Not quite 😂 Give us time!

Beginners - Again, not our level.

Our team would play in the top amateur local league across the UK.

It's a big guess as to how that translates in Europe, and how different countries have their set ups.

Germany/France for example is likely to have a MUCH stronger (and deeper) set of players, and I don't know how they set up their leagues.

I think it's going to be really hard to get similar level players, so for us, that's slightly secondary to the main purpose.

Our main purpose is to meet other TTD folk in Europe, visit some cool clubs, and just have a great experience.

If we manage to find similar level people to play against, then that's an added bonus 😁

At the moment, we are just looking for ideas so we can start planning the route 😊

I believe finnish teams are good opponents for you. Getting friendly matches is different thing...
But Finland is nice place! but far away...
Do you have any recommended clubs?

We'll likely stick to one country, but happy to travel across it to visit different clubs/see parts of the country.

We'll probably do 3 clubs in the week!

Come on! Hurry up! I wanna see Ovtcharov ALC with Dignics 09C in real life action.
The Ovtchorav ALC is being retired this week!

The "Badger Blade" from SDC should be arriving on Friday!

Are you coming over to Europe so we can have a match!?

Do you have any video footage of your level?
Let me know if you're ever coming to Ireland, I could possibly set up a few friendlies for you, Wicklow/Dublin area.
Metz, Saarbrucken, Strasbourg, Stuttgart, Augsburg, Munich, Innsbruck takes in France, Germany and Austria where there are many many clubs along the way.
Once your channel is producing you'll get lots of replies to match requests I'm sure!

And there's me channelling that "Do you not know who I am?!" sort of energy! 😂

Valid point (although, again, I'll stress that the TT is secondary to simply finding good clubs in Europe).

I did a little video a while back (for this forum), to showcase what we ask for when we say "is there any video of you online".

Just the basics (or whatever you are capable of doing) - I think people thought we needed super good and long footage of them!

Anyway, I'm the large human closest to the camera - My partner here isn't in the Badgers team.

There are two good clubs in(or close to) Helsinki: PT Espoo and TIP-70. OPT-86 in Oulu is also good. Probably better idea to go somewhere else(TT is small sport in here). Finland is close to Sweden so maybe both?

Great question, one I've asked @NextLevel before as I really don't know (and struggle to understand some of the USATT ratings at times).

I know 2000 is thrown out as the magic number, and I'd like to think, on average, we are higher than that?

I dunno, maybe 2200? You likely have a much better grasp on it than I do!

Sweden, Germany and France were my first thoughts, just because of the TT players.

But I'll definitely look into Sweden/Finland and may drop you a message if we go that way 😁

If 2000~2200 is the range, German probably 5th to 6th division is my guess.
hope that helps

Quite possibly - It would be great to see video of the various levels (but that's probably asking a bit much).

But as I said, at this point, I'd love just to be able to plan a little route and visit clubs along the way.

The actual "friendly matches" are very secondary.

We'd be happy simply practicing in a really nice dedicated hall to be honest!

Not quite yet, but very soon!

I asked Sergio to make me an Ovtcharov ALC with the Badger logo and colours....

It's even the same weight as my existing blade, so it should be incredibly similar!

He smashed it out of the park....
