hi guys,
i'm looking for some suggestions. I went through a number of blades in the past 2 months and I really haven't found what I'm looking for yet.

Blades i've tried:
- Donic Appelgren Allplay
- Butterfly Liu Shiwen
- Butterfly TB ALC
- OSP Virtuoso OFF-

What I liked/disliked about them:
Appelgren Allplay
Pro: Very nice feel, most confidence inspiring feel, liked the AN handle
Con: Pretty slow, didn't feel i could hit "killer balls"

Liu Shiwen
Pro: Pretty good feel, speed and spin
Con: Maybe a tad too fast / too little control, sound

TB ALC (only played for 30 minutes)
Pro: Speed seemed good, more control than Liu Shiwen
Con: Didn't like the handle, sound and feel

OSP Virtuoso OFF-
Pro: Super nice to touch, speed is decent, feel is good, similar to Allplay, good control
Con: Still feels a little slow'ish, less so than the Allplay but again a problem of creating enough spin/speed for killer balls; feel and sound not as nice to me as Allplay

So basically I'm looking for something inbetween a slower version of the Liu Shiwen and a slightly spinnier and quicker version of the OSP Virtuoso combined with the feel of the Appelgren Allplay....

EASY RIGHT?!?

P.S.: Rubbers at the moment are Donic JP03 1.8mm FH and Donic Acuda S3 1.8 BH.

Interesting question. I wish I could answer this. I think many players are looking for such a blade. Maybe someone else has a good suggestion.

Hi,

my questions are:
what is your playing style?
how do you loop? (more with sponge or top sheet)
what blade do you use now?

my opinion:
you've tested with the wrong combination.

These blades are not suitable for soft rubber, they are more suitable for medium to hard rubber.

Playing Style: Close to Mid Distance, Looping FH/BH and usually a push/push opening to find a spot to make the game fast. Some hitting, but only occasionally. I'm trying to loop more with top sheet than with sponge.

I'm not sure if i would agree that the Donic or OSP aren't suited for soft rubber.

If you still want using Donic rubbers and one of these blades, I would suggest you using 1 step harder.
Donic JP 02 and Acuda S2 both in 1.8 mm

Remember: soft rubber produces the highest throw, esp. ESN product.
