In my experience you have to boost it quite a lot to become a "monster".
I have used and experimented H3 (always neo blue sponge, 40 degrees) since November and the last time was the time I finally got the boosting procedure right (hopefully I can reproduce it next time):
3 moderate layers of booster (I use Haifu yellow national), 12 hours from each other.
After the 3rd and last boosting I waited 24-30 hours and glued with Revolution 15 while still moderately domed, 3 layers on the rubber and 1-2 on the blade. I like to tense the rubber while gluing as much as possible.
The real marvellous sensation stays for around 10 days then the booster effect fades slowly, it doesn't have that wonderful click to it anymore. After 3-5 weeks I reboost it with one single layer (another 10 wonderful days and then decreasing slowly), and then again after 4-6 weeks. Then I change it but just because it got too soft, I think I'll try ordering black haifu and see if I can prolong its life.
From what I read everyone has their preferred boosting method, I think it is worth it to experiment a bit, the expense is still so much less (for me, all costs and durability considered, around half the cost) than with a high-end ESN rubber.
I came from very hard hybrid rubbers and still h3 doesn't feel as "lively" as them and it took a bit of getting used to, but to me, it was definitely worth it. If I try now other people's blades with tensor rubbers on forehand they give me the impression of flying off the bat and having "less substance".
