Butterfly Chen Chien-An Gold Medalist Limited Edition

Havent seen anyone here posting anything on this blade yet so I guess no one outside of Taiwan actually noticed that BTY has made a blade for both Chen Chien-An and Chuang Chih-Yuan in celebration of their 2013 Paris WTTC Men's Doubles Gold medal finish.

Chen Chien-An's blade was a slightly modified version of the Korbel SK7 and Chih-Yuan's a modified Viscaria. Butterfly made 250 and 350 respectively for each of the limited edition blades.

I was lucky enough to encounter the very last first-hand one of the Chen Chien-An left on the market. The No. 151/250, which was used as a showing unit by the butterfly dealership here in Taipei.

The Chen Chien-An was reported by butterfly to have an average weight of 92 and a bat size of 157 x 150mm, measuring 6.8mm thick.
Mine was on the dot 92G, but after some precise measuring made by the dealership it was found out that both the limited edition blades were in fact, 159x150 in size. Not sure what happened with Butterfly.

Currently I have the G1 on the FH and an relatively older 80-FX on the BH, however I started out with Rasant PG on the FH and G1 on the BH for this blade, as shown on the pictures.

I shall write a review of the blade after a week or so. Bear in mind that I am no top-notch player and my strokes' correctiveness may not be perfect as my taiwanese rating is estimated to be only around 2100, I only entered a single cup tourney last month and had my initial rating set at around 1900. Also to be noted is that this is only my third 7-Ply wood blade after a Avalox BT777 and a rather disastrously made CL CR, thus I cant give a very accurate comparison of this blade to other W7's :p. I will be making comparisons to the blade that I am most familiar with though, the Stiga Tube Offensive, which is a W5 with WRB handle.

Butterfly products is lock per region/country.
I don't think Butterfly sold this "limited edition" out side Taiwan

Just like some special Butterfly blades (players name) only available in UK, Australia etc

Yes I was a victim of that when I tried to get an EF XI into the UK haha
Then again these blades were on bty.co.jp for a week or something like that when it was announced back in october last year
