My team member/player has this blade, the original TB5 (not the new TB5 alpha), and another team member/player likes it a lot, and would like to have it. So we are searching for an alternative (because it is discontinued), something with the same composition, as close as possible (layer woods and their thicknesses) to the original. Any ideas? I'm sending the photos.

From Btfly, we will also try the original old Korbel, and perhaps Hadraw 5 could be interesting (but seems diff. composition). We'll also try Vodak Horejsi ALC (also a bit diff. composition), just to get him some feeling differences. So far the TB5 he likes the most - to explain - he's coming from a balsa blade, which is soft but stiff, he's not able to make an arc, and now understands it's an issue. TB5 also is quite soft, imo, the composition is Limba, Ayous (rather thick 2nd layer) and Ayous core, but that's just my guess.

Anyway, any hints appreciated... Finding blade for me is easy, finding blades for others is the NextLevel ;-) Very high burn chance...

I tried to dig around a little, and as far as I can tell the tb5 is identical in composition to the alpha. Tb5 seems to (have) come only in preassembled "pro line" rackets, and the main difference should be the head size.

I'm also inclined to say the second layer could be limba. And the general composition reminds me of a Korbel, but that doesn't really say much.
What I can say about my recent experience with 5plies, the rubbers make a lot of difference for how it feels.
