Feels like pitchy's blade is also a bit too much to ask for, maybe 90-100 would be easier to swallow
Most brands have their all wood blades in that price range and very basic low end carbons, if 90-100 was accurate pricing for it then other blades on the market like Darko infinity carbon, Nittaku Acoustic carbon etc would also be in that range. It's not really possible to price that blade in that range, we probably wouldn't even be able to break even.

Nowadays, the going rate for a premium blade from any brand is anywhere from 130-180 dollars/Euros on average. So why would someone not go for a TBALC/FZD ALC/Viscaria/Ovtcharov/Harimoto ALC which all cost basically the same price as their "competition"?

For some reason I can't quote my reply to the above.

Because a lot of people find different brands blades good for their game? If people try something and like it then they will probably buy it. There are plenty of factors influencing how people buy, if there wasn't then there wouldn't be a market for table tennis equipment at all.

I think the point is, that there are so many versions of the „classic“ carbon construction = viscaria on the market.
When I look for a new blade and I notice that the original product costs 170€ (and maybe with a different handle like the Boll ALC) and it’s competitors sell basically the same product (maybe different name for the carbon) for the same price or even more, why should I not buy the original one?
Yes, some people prefer different brands and designs and so on….

Why not maintain a high build quality for a lower price? Can’t image a 180€ blade costs more than 30-60€ in production (?)

Because in a world of distributors AND retailers, both of whom require margins and stable retail prices, it's not possible. If you cut the price down then it's ultimately the brand that loses and then you end up touching break even or below cost.

Just buy a blade from Sanwei / Yinhe, they have exactly what you want

If blades were priced like that then there wouldn't be any sponsored players in the first place haha
