Why not? Hugo just won the American cup with it
To be fair if he can win the Americas Cup with a 7-ply wood blade he could probably win it with most JOOLA blades :p haha

Hugo looks and picks up one before Americas Cup.. this one looks good...
cool see how it goes.
Wins event... Yup that works... Like it... thanks!.

Perfect player management by Matt- Honestly take it as a win on this one (y)

But the rubbers... tell us about the rubbers Matt! ;)

Nice result for Hugo and Team Joola

Carked out at Star Contender Doha and a haste exit at Champions, I don't know about that one. At least he found something he likes, hopefully his next blade will be around for a bit longer before it gets Joola'd :ROFLMAO:

What are you talking about he lost by a total of 1 point in the semifinals to Wen Ruibo at SC who was clearly playing amazingly that - and the next, event which he won :p He beat Pucar convincingly, won against Gauzy who he lost to towards the end of last year.

The Xylo 7 is surely a temporary thing anyway, he has dozens of blades he can test and more were sent to him right before Pan Am Cup. You have to understand that testing blades during an international season which is effectively never-ending there isn't really any time to figure all this stuff out, he doesn't have time to test dozens of blades whilst making sure he is ready for all of the upcoming events. If you consider the tiny amount of time he had between signing and playing Champions to effectively change from the equipment he used for the past years, what do you expect really.

You can change miniscule little details and it will I'm sure immediately make him feel the change, sometimes that makes a player less comfortable, and in this case it definitely did.

If he isn't able to defend his world cup title I'm sure people will blame JOOLA too, it's just the landscape we have to tread through. At the end of the day as long as Hugo is happy everyone else can say what they want, that's the nature of the online community for table tennis. While the internet was a flurry of action when he lost in those events, nobody seemed to care about the wins lol
