Any more reviews of the new blades (especially ary-x)? I am really eager to try it and give Zyre another chance with it. If the blade is slower than viscaria and has more dwell and softness it should pair perfectly i reckon.. Also expecting it to be a bit head heavy due to bigger head so Zyre again will be ideal (comparing to Trinity or other hybrids weight).

I have a friend who received the ARY-X he confirms it comes from the same factory for him as the Hugo Hal, same structure, same fiber, same shape size. For him it is a dual copy. Just the design change.
As I mentioned in an earlier message, the two blades are very similar across most parameters. However, as you can see from the two screenshots (from Joola’s and Xiom’s websites), there is a difference in the size of the blades.

Even with two blades of the same weight (Joola ARY-x vs Hugo Hal), this difference in size will affect both the overall weight (a larger blade head requires more rubber coverage) and balance. In isolation, these parameters mean the two blades won’t have exactly the same characteristics.

I’ve chosen to use the Joola ARY-x as my primary blade after several years with the Hugo Hal because I feel that the slight increase in head size, overall weight, and the fact that the ARY-x is a bit more head heavy make my setup slightly faster, less muted, and still very controlled compared to the Hugo Hal.

On that basis, I can understand why some might feel the two blades are identical, but that’s only true in terms of composition and other parameters do play an important role.
