G5 15, 25, 26 slight net for Baldwin, 28, 88, 810, 910, 1010, 1011, 1211, 1213, 1413 slight net for Moregard, 1414, 1514, 1515, 1615, 1616, 1716 sideline edge for Moregard, 1718, 2018

Same old problem for either of them.
MS R64
Harimoto 3-2 Groth

Same old problem for either of them.

Just adding the glaring omission for context.

Is he a mental monster or did Baldwin choke? I thought the latter perspective was the dominant paradigm on the internet...
There is a reason why he is world no 5. He is mentally tough and can often win from dire situations. Harimoto recently has also shown the same mental toughness. Truls probably did not play at his best too.

Not really debating, I just thought that it was widely accepted on Tieba that Truls played an inferior brand of trick shot and disruptive table tennis vs Harimoto's technically sound and clean game and that Truls was lucky to win with this style, while Harimoto's mental strength shines with his more technical style. Chan was just unlucky that his technically superior TT did not win this encounter...

Both are possible for sure. Third game Baldwin literally collapsed to the floor at 9-9 then lost as Truls really put his foot on the accelerator. Much like a Sampras would. He then collapsed again and threw his bat on the table in the fifth when Truls clawed back to even. This is very Lin Gaoyuan.
Not clear in the end though eh. Both guys were very shakey in the deuce and it was a real coin flip.

I guess we watched different matches when it comes to shakey, both players played amazing shots in that deuce, my jaw dropped multiple times. That it was a coin flip simply reflects how tight the matchup was in terms of looking for advantages within the point setups.

Yeah, they got through it well. Was very edgy early on in the deuce I thought. Maybe just I was edgy from wanting Truls to win. He makes me nervous FS.

Too much time on social media complaining about hidden serves... LOL

Wow. Thakkar wins 3 in a row to take the match against Gauzy.
Did so well to pull that off
All that Nimes-Montpellier exposure paying off for Thakkar. IF you want to beat Gauzy, train with players that beat Gauzy.

Hana Goda loses so all the African women are out - it is interesting, the China Smash should ultimately become the hardest and biggest event on tour, it has the fan base, and because of all the extra CNT players in qualifiers and the main rounds, it is definitely the hardest event to make a dent in on tour.

Wow. Sabine Winter is so physical. Never seen her before. Footwork is great to play so much of the game totally FH. Very impressive.
Running away with this one.
Tell me you just started watching WTT without telling me you just started watching WTT...
