The Shandong battle is hilarious and shows how OP Weiqao is. Luneng rested Ma Long.

Xu Yingbin performs the mighty feat of besting both Liang Jingkun and Zhao Qihao. And his team's reward is to have Yan An face Liang Jingkun in the decider.

So despite having an incredible performance by Xu, Luneng still has no legit chance to win.

I say this and Yan An wins the first game lol. Something must be in the water...

More competitive than I expected from Yan An but I was ultimately right. No way Weiqao can maintain that lineup next season.

But there is another team with Wang Manyu, Chen Xingtong and Qian Tianyi. So it isn't that outrageous. Poor Wang Yidi was the one left out to suffer this year.
feel they a bit more brittle with these results

Qian Tianyi/Chen Xingtong 0:3 Sun Mingyang/Chen Yi (10:12, 8:11, 9:11)
Wang Yidi 2:3 Wang Manyu (9:11, 11:7, 5:11, 11:8, 9:11)
Li Yake 2:3 Chen Xingtong (14:12, 9:11, 11:5, 9:11, 16:18)

Also, I some times wish, super league can be like Jia A
which allows foreign teams to enter as a whole team.

The mens national team below would be a pretty strong team to challenge the super league club teams
Sweden
Germany
Japan
Korea
Taiwan
France

Womens side, maybe only Japan and Korea can challenge. Germany maybe the next after them, then Taiwan / Hong Kong

Yeah but the point is the quality of players on the team not the single match results per se. And Chen and Wang were on the winning team last year if I remember rightly. Are you sure that your team will beat Wang Manyu team?

Kuai Man is the lowest/weakest player, but doubles is okay.
If they don't loose doubles, then they should win.

If doubles is loss, she would loose her singles too. That would be 2 points.
Chen Xing Tong or Qian Tianyi to take a point off Chen Meng or Shasha will be fun to watch for sure.
And then there is Wang Manyu

I will say odds are my team will win.
if doubles loose, then the percentage will drop a lot.
Doubles win. then of the remaining 4 points, your team needs to win 3. That means Shasha and Chen Meng both needs to give points away.

Since your team has a double loosing to a weaker pair... your team needs to work on doubles

Okay. If Wang Manyu takes 2, then all they need is one. Last year, Chen Xingtong beat Chen Meng. My main point is that 3 national team players is 3 national team players, and one can argue that Qian Tianyi is stronger than Kuai Man. How you can consider 3-2 over Wang Yidi a shaky result is interesting. But you are the expert.

shakier result
haha

well doubles goes to my team. Wang Manyu HAS to take 2
either way, it is a 4 to 5 match game.
If the international team of Japan comes on board, then it would be a better match up.

@Tony's Table Tennis ,

Any comment on the latest round of results?
well, my both number 1s had 3-2 wins, and both nearly lost 2-3.
on the girls,
I thought Shasha doubles was against weaker sides only and they would use Chen Meng.
Maybe something going on that I don't know of, but Shasha lost 2 points. Kuai Man took a single, which I didn't expect and Chen Meng still holding the ground against younger players. Shanghai isn't a weak team, with 3 x no2.
Shenzhen is like 2 x no1, and 1 x no3 and Luneng has 1 x no1, and 2 x no2 (closer onto no1)
Luneng's double is still consider risky, especially Chengdu is a much weaker side.

Never the less. today we will see your and my team match up against each other

No need to write so much 🤣, just wanted to see whether you would see my point that though the team is loaded, there is one other team with 3 top players as well and using performance in specific games/matches to rationalize one team being much better than the other misses the point (barring an incident, these teams are meeting in the finals so today will not settle anything). No team on the men's side of Superleague has anything close to WCQ, LJK and ZQH.

you write too much (Unlike you, I didn't ask for your comment lol) 🤭
and yet WCQ, LJK, ZQH barely won 3-2 against a much weaker side

That's the point. You focus on margin I focus on the fact they have too many good players to lose. Beating 3 aces is hard.
well, thats maybe me, which looks at margins, all the way to my "amateur pro players"
a win can be 1 match win or 3-2 game win. But is that anything to celebrate?

If you only looking at match win and not game win, then that is maybe more pure fan mentally - like a win is a win and that is enough. But when you are in too deep, then every point matters so when you analysis it further, then comes high risk/low risk wins.

3-2 for the mens all star team for example is a lost in many Chinese coaches eyes and they will defiantly have some hard love to face, not to mention, 2 of them failed, not 1. The win against Yan An was too close and deem a failure too imo.
So great they win, but they did a lot worse than any one's expectation against a super weak side too.

Yes, but that is what having 3 aces buys them. Look at the match vs Shanghai, where WCQ lost his singles, but ZQH beat FZD. That's why the team is OP - it is not about the margin of victory but how having 3 aces insulates them even when things go wrong. XYB had a great day, but his team still lost. Again, 3 aces. Borderline cheating.
