Some more reports came up directly from the ITTF AGM venue. Some unseemly "mayhem" inside ITTF, indeed.

If it looks like a shitshow, sounds like a shitshow and moves like a shitshow, then in ITTF/WTT terms ALL is perfectly fine. Totally under control like H3 un(boosted).

Move along folks, nothing to see here (except legal serves and FZD who? Choppers who?)

Oh look! Over there everyone, Rio is holding the 2029 WC! Latin America people! Quick, quick Hugo quick!

OVER THE ABYSS OF LIES.

There is one legal clue there that allows Katary Candidate to challenge the election results in court.
The ITTF Charter requires that all voting countries are NOT in arrears in membership fees at the time of voting. There is a high probability that every small country like Cook Island, etc., has chronic ITTF debt due to objective reasons - lack of money in the state treasury.

If you dig deep into the ITTF documents, you can dig up a dozen such poor debtors. These are very poor countries where the inhabitants live like cattle on the street in straw huts.
In short, this all looks like Madame Sorling is hanging by a thin thread over a precipice and Arab sheikhs are pulling her leg. The situation remains unsettled, to put it mildly.

The shit show in the 10 hour video start after 9:52. Drama of the highest order. Maneuvre and counter maneuvre. Intrigue. The final result and the coordinated bitching, scramble to unmask the secret voters that tipped the scale. A splendid show that is almost as good as a table tennis match. When you have so many people getting so salty about the results, somehow you understand the stakes for the presidency of ITTF is so high. It's not about table tennis any more. It's something else. These Qataris gives me the creeps.

“Sörling received 104 votes, while her opponent, Khalil Al-Mohannadi (QAT), received 102”

“It also highlighted the outcome of the paper vote, where Al-Mohannadi led by 98 to 87”

So Sörling won the online vote 17-4.

My question is:

What exactly did Sörling offer those online voters that Al-Mohannadi couldn’t?

Or, should the question be:

What exactly did Al-Mohannadi offer that Sörling couldn’t in person?

No. Sorling won the online vote 12 to 4 not condering the 5 late disallowed votes as ontended (not my opinion, I am neutral)
Very neutral guy with no posts before talking about AGM, repeating Qatari arguments that can't be backed up by ittf rules and all that while using a Swedish flag, still unable to write Sörling's name correctly lol

For future reference. Exactly what yours truly pointed out almost 5 years ago, notwithstanding the dispute.

She also raised broader concerns about how the ITTF conducts its internal affairs. "When I first joined the ITTF in 2009, I was proud that every member had an equal vote,” she said. "But now I’m not so sure. Some countries are completely inactive, yet their vote weighs as much as China’s. I believe the nations that are truly engaged in the sport should have more influence."

COI is all about personal gain while playing dumb(looking at Sharara). CNT is bigger than that. The folks want a bigger say here. They want to lead not just the medal table, but also the world of table tennis. It just won't happen under the current structure of ITTF since every association has only 1 vote, regardless of results. It's just inflexible when a tiny country in the middle of nowhere can propose a change of rules on a whim every frigging year that could potentially/adversely affect pros and amateurs alike and everyone has to waste time to discuss and vote on that, often times without a full understanding of the implications. By "spinning off" the operations of international competitions, the pros can be insulated from all unwanted/non-beneficial external interference and sort of play in a sandbox environment, exactly how the ATP started out.

Oh well..

The major problem with Qatar is geopolitics: no countries want to offend Qatar cos' this country deals with ANY terrorist group on the planet. That's why Qatar got some Rafale fighter jets, got all the major international events, and now wants to lead some sport international federation: diplomacy and geopolitics.

Fact is Qatar actually resolves issues with terrorists groups, but there are counterparts. they actually act like a bank. they take your money, give it to the terrorists groups, and they get their percentage of course for doing the "dirty work". The islam terrorists groups NEVER take qatari hostages, they get bigger and stronger with the help from Qatar who pretends to be the peacemaker for China, Russia, the USA, the EU, EVERYONE.

No, they are filthy rich, they swim in money and money is king. They were pissed off because they hadn’t played off the online voters…

You're joking right ? So you think that because of money only this shit country deserves to lead any sport international federation ?

Oh I see... poor lil' qataris, they didn't understand there had to be online voters.

What you see here guys, it is what you see with Iran, the Brotherhood, the Hamas: guys acting like terrorists. Of course their behavior is violent. They thought organizing the WTTC was the key to get the presidence. They did the same as South Africa did 2 years ago: shitty broadcasting, shitty camera angle views, and so on. The Table 2 was barely watchable.

And they thought doing that shit with no respect for the game, the athletes and the fans would have been enough ? money don't buy passion and love for the game dude.
