I saw in the comments section of one of the Global TTStudio videos it's their own channel, but they were given permission to redistribute her video with English translations. Not sure how true that is, but I hope she's getting some form of compensation.

i doubt there is permission
there is a lot of translated channels that is probably done illegally.

OMG! this yt video is absolute gold.

I know the two types of bh term commonly spoken by my club mates but those guys always say it in our local dialect that is:
a) 挑 ( tiu ) or loop
and
b) 撕 ( shi ) or rip.

I never knew how to say it in English until today.

So shi is rip and tiu is loop.

shi literally mean tear because the motion is like tearing a piece of paper.

i think the euro equivalent is throw the frisbee motion.

No. That's not her. As I understand, Xiao Han in Chinese means 'little Han'. 'Han' here is the family name and 'Xiao' is a casual or nice way of addressing younger person, not part of the real name.

The great thing is she studied how the obstacles adult learners of table tennis face can be overcome, but not only in theory but in practise. She is able to teach it through the screen which is an artform of its own. She is the reason I switched to chinese tacky rubber on my forehand. Another chinese lady is teaching me how to use long pips on backhand.

She is the equivalent of Bruce Lee.

P/S: Before her videos come to be; there are many concepts I knew from talking to my club veteran but I do not know how to express them in English. Some of the words, nuanced parlance, it was difficult to translate to English directly. Her video did that with aplomb.

Not a 1-1 comparison but I always tell adults trying to improve their basketball to watch the WNBA. A lot of what male pro athletes do and discuss are so far outside of the amateur athlete almost none of it is applicable. Female pro athlete skills, however, a bit more attainable.

Gman too see more applicable and relatable strokes in the Euro Women games. Slower with more spin oriented tactics. Something that can resonate better with club uncles and aunties.
