No its doesn't have to be butterfly. What else do you recommend? I like the limba feel of the Korbel but wanted a bit more punch/speed without losing control. The problem with to much speed I suppose you lose control. I didnt like butterfly viscaria - to hard feeling and felt had no control, and backhand went everywhere - probably to fast and to bouncy racket.
Harimoto ALC might be your answer if you would like something faster as it's more powerful version of the Innerforce ALC.

Subjective question, in what perspective and which blade in comparison?
That's right, subjective question :) You wrote that in your opinion there are blades that are equal or much better than Butterfly's Innerforces and I was curious which ones you rated higher (and why).

One example of the blade that I'm currently using Xiom Tmxi pro, with a better handle than any butterfly blades. Much stiffer than innerforce Alc where i prefer it more especially on bh.

I have tried Nittaku Accoustic Carbon (outer) and Petr Korbel. Both are good blades but Nittaku handles are never suitable for me being too thin. Peter Korbel is a pretty fast wood blade which is similar speed but spin wise, Innerforce Layer ALC is much better.
Innerforce layer ALC can well be a starting entry level carbon blade for many players and gradually upgrading the rubbers till you find it too slow. I have recently paired this blade with Hurricane 3 Neo on FH and Dignics 05 on backhand. The blade is not slow at all like what i've initially thought. Having a really good dwell time actually allows the blade to unleash strong forehand loops.
If you would think this blade is too slow, there are the faster options of Harimoto ALC -> Otcharov ALC. I've tested both of them too where Otcharov is simply too fast for me.
Do you really need to get a Butterfly? To me not really, there are simply many Inner carbon blades out there that can be close, equally or much better.
Does the Innerforce layer has as much control as the Korbel or less? I noticed there is an older version innerforce which is around 5.7mm and the newer one innerforce layer 5.59/6.0mm? Which do you own?
According to TTgearlab the newer one is faster. Thanks

My innerforce blade is 3-4 years old and definitely is not the 2023 version. It's also relatively light at 86gm.
As i do play with a much faster blade now. I would find the innerforce alc relatively has good control. Unfortunately no one in the club plays with a korbel where I haven't really touched a korbel blade in a long time to be able to provide an accurate comparison.
If you do go a tt club, i would suggest for you to test out as many other blades that you have in mind before buying one.
I can suggest a few version inner carbon blades for you to have a better idea
1) Dhs hurricane long 5
2) Nittaku Soten, acoustic carbon inner
3) Xiom Alxi
4) Yinhe Pro 05

Hope that helps

I was just looking at this 2nd graph below recently from ttgearlab.com and think it says a lot about about the speed & hold comparisons between the two versions of IF layer alc and the 4 versions of the dhs301. I won't share which one I like but I will say I love this website.

So which one do you like? Looks like the 301 is slightly deeper hold and similar hardness to the innerforce.

I wonder where the Sanwei 75 Inner ALC would be placed in this graph
