i ended up boosting it with a thin layer, just because the rubber seamed to be an older one and was curled inwards after i removed the foil on the gluelayer. so the factory boosting effect must have been gone. the rubber didn't reacted as much as i thought, just a tiny curl, kinda like you have when you get a modern esn hybrid like c48 and such. from the bounce test it seemed slower then the rxton 3 pro clearly due to the tack. but OH MY the topsheet is so much better! you can feel it grip so nicely, no sleepery feeling just a grippy slighty tacky rubber with a good dwell and feeling for the ball. that's what i wanted and i am so excited about training today! it will be the first time since years that i will play with a more classical leaning chinese rubber configuration (thin and sticky topsheet) on the forehand.

so i trained some days with rxton 9 and quite like that rubber, but must say that i am not shure if i will keep playing it. it is just so different in so many aspects... first it is fully tacky, so i needed to adapt to the feeling in my service and passive play. there where so many moments where it just didn't felt linear for me just because the tack hold the ball back and then you had a pretty deadish ball and when you overcome the tack then it start's to jump out and was pretty fast. the relation between the topsheet and sponge also felt so different for me, that i had the feeling of playing a softer rubber but then it had amazing power when i stroke hard. in a way that it had some moments when i really activated the sponge and the rubber unexpectedly exploded and send the ball far out. the flight curve of the ball was also pretty different to the ones i played before, even rxton 3 pro. with the normal hybrids you have this kinda ball that flies rather straight and long and then dips right at the end. rxton 9 had more of bow curve, where the rubber creates a really high trajectory that is short. that was the reason my teammates meant that i would have not as much spin on the ball, even though i felt the ball really bite on the topsheet. but i think this normal bow like curve is just more predictable? but i think that it is also the way i play that is so used to play with hybrids that i need to change the way i stroke the ball to get a more dangerous curve. besides that it does everything well, it grips the ball well for serve and open up and i could create pretty fast balls that felt super nice. so this rubber has the qualitys to be a pretty dangerous and powerful rubber, but it needs a lot of adaptations that i'm just not able to do right now due to my season starting in less than one month. also for 30€ regular price would be to expensive if i need to boost the rubber and change then every 1-2 months...

i will try the bluegrip c2 now and think this will be maybe a bit easier to adapt.
a friend of mine told me to try the Bluestar A2 but i just heard that it should be super bouncy. anybody tried that rubber?

i saw the rxton 7 come out, too! could be another option if it has that better topsheet of the rxton 9. but i would get it on the 6th of october if i order now and then just had one week to test. sounds to dangerous for me only have one week of testing before the first games are starting...

There's no reason that Rxton VII has a better topsheet than the 9. The main difference will the softer sponge for the VII. Topsheet will be the one of Arthur Asia, or maybe Arthur China, which is not supposed to be better than Rxton 9 (but I did not notice any difference during my bried test of the Rxton 9).

Arthur China is my weapon of choice for my FH. I won't say it's the best rubber ever, because it's subjective, but it's my favorite to play with right now. I tested briefly the Rxton 9, it does not deserve that I spend time and money to dig deeper. I did not feel it was less good either, just very similar.

Arthur China is quite popular, main weakness was the weak bond and easy bubbles on some batches, mixed experiences such as with R3 Pink, some really bad others extreamly good. My experience so far is pretty good based on durability and performance but R9 its great too and even more durable.
maybe i try arthur china too on my spare blade. rxton 9 is a really damn good rubber and will explore it after the season! the best thing for me next to the grip was the translation of power. it handle every powerful stroke of mine with ease, no problems with control! the opposite of vega pro H. but i'll need to check something more in the ballpark of german hybrids, changing technique takes sadly too long...

Here is a quick review video in chinese. Aparently for Provincial team
Seems new, it says Rxton IX special on the back label and you read RED H=A37º On the front it has the same Zhou Yu sponsor image that the TELSON 100 packaging have.
Quite interesting since i asked for a 37 deg Red R9 some time ago and they said it was in early testing but they didnt commit yet. All the last Brand Brochures/marketing material that show sponsored players say they use R9 on the FH and Telson 100 BH with W81 outer or W81 Inner So i dont know if they will push it as a Flagship BH rubber, even more with R7 realease... Maybe they were asked for a H3NEO 37 deg alternative from their Provincial sponsored players o_O:ROFLMAO:
