I own a Tibhar Lebesson from many many years ago. At that time, there was only AN handle so I bought one. Weight is 88.3 grams. Good blade. But I did not use it because the head shape is quite unique, so you can't just swap rubbers from other blades onto it.

Last week, I found an used Tibhar Lebesson FL and I bought it because I am curious about it.

First, the weight of the new (2nd hand) Lebesson is 83.1 gram. So a difference of about 5 grams. (Later I confirm that it is slower and not as stiff as the 88.3 grams).

But the unique thing is this:

The AN was designed for right hand person and the FL was designed for left hand person (Lebesson himself is left handed). I don't say construction wise, but the position of the lens.

2nd thing is the printed letters on Lebesson FL can be felt (raised letter) while the printed letters on Lebesson AN is smooth.

3rd thing is the shape of the head is a bit different. The lower part of the wing is bigger for Lebesson AN compared to that of Lebesson FL.

The rubber from Lebesson FL does not fit Lebesson AN perfectly.

The FL one is for Japanese market while the AN is for international market.

So, the left lens vs right lens are probably just the placement of the name tag, but the differences in head shape?

Just curious. That's why I bought it and shared it here.
