Hello all,
Requesting a bit of help verifying this blade I bought is authentic. There are a couple things that are throwing up flags but not enough to decisively verify, at least with my experience. I bought this from a seller in Germany, my concerns are:
1. The yellow handle line is out of alignment and not horizontally straight, same for the backside. Not necessarily a red flag, but my BTY blades have had very good quality control in the past and haven't seen this before.
2. The serial number is also not exactly horizontal. Not as bad as the yellow, but it tilts a bit down to the right.
3. The wood surface seems very pockmarked, as in there are a lot of lines with the wood grain so it's not perfectly smooth. My ZJK ZLC surface is completely smooth. Again it could be production/wood quality differences but not sure.
The reasons it looks good to me are:
1. The holographic lens looks real and I could see the Butterfly name in the lens.
2. 90g weight is very reasonable.
3. Depth and clarity of the serial looks good.
4. The metal tag looks ok to me, and the JTTAA engraving is also deep and clear.
The box is from another serial number but it could just be a spare box the seller had. UPDATE The seller provided pictures of the correct box, added to link.

I don't have anyone locally that would be an expert. I normally buy equipment new to avoid this but in the case of this blade is is discontinued so I have no choice but to go with a 3rd party seller. I also reached out to Butterfly Europe to see if they could provide help.
