I've never owned a R7 before but I've used R7 soft. I've tried Rakza 7 of my friend in an Allwood blade directly playing from a local premade racket. I felt R7 is too fast to control and I never bought it. I'm currently using Dignics 05 for almost 8 months. I tried Rakza 7 again belonged to that same friend and I couldn't appreciate the sheer control that R7 has. It definitely has less grip, spin and speed than my D05 is providing but the amount of confidence and control is amazing with R7. I liked it better than my R7 soft.

All threads come back around don't they?

I have been on the rakza fan wagon for the last several years. I used many R7 years ago and liked it. The last 2 or 3 years I have been using RZ followed by RX and once RXX came out I have been using RXX max. However I recently got a new R7 sheet (EJ that I am) and really love the control. It is slower and the throw is a little different, but the blocking is much easier and the placement is fantastic. Heck I win points now (when I win them) by placement and variation-almost never by blasting it past someone.
(Because the speed is a little slower I definitely prefer max sponge for greater spin-I also prefer harder sponge and have never tried R7 soft).
