Double Fish samples has arrived - what is your opinions?

The double fish Paris balls are still the best balls to me by far. Followed by the gewo superselct 3 star balls.

the new training balls GT40+ is also very good, it shows 1 star, but it is very solid and has an even bounce

Hello, just wondering about Choices here.

I want to get a new tacky chinese rubber. As a previous user of Double Fish Volant 1 40 degrees. I really like this rubber. It's my favourite rubber to date, one that I've owned. I'm thinking if I should take H3 NEO or Double Fish Volant 1 at 41°. I say 41 instead of 40 because I've found I still want something harder than 40. With the savings from taking the Volant instead of h3n, I can get booster for the Volant. So it boils down to-shouls i get H3 NEO MAX @40° or Boosted Double Fish V-1 2.1mm @41°.

Well, my father said in his whole table tennis life for balls he had always chosen only 3 brands-Double Fish, DHS and back in 38mm times, Nittaku.

there is 5 major ITTF approved ball makers in the world,
you named 3 of them and together these 3 has over 80% market share for sure.

I tried DF Voulant Phoenix blue 41 today. The other side is H3 41 blue.
My impression:
- Speed is pretty good
- Spin is so so. H3 is much better.
- Throw is quite low, ball lands close to net.

Overall I think it's about 70% of H3 in terms of ball quality. For 22$ it's acceptable for club level.

yep, just need to get use to it, and make minor adjustments.
not much rubber beat H3 on spin, so it is always a given all the "others" will always loose on the spin index.

i would say virtually no rubber can reach the spin ceiling of H3
i can see it is a good Bh rubber based on the controlled speed

the DF balls are hit or miss, some are round
overall the quality is acceptable, i think they're aiming for a lower, different users

what DF balls are you referring to?
I have gone through 3 models and over a dozen randomly each, and pretty happy with them

You should get PAR40+ and V40+ WTT

PAR40+ is the one comparable to Nittaku Premium

I tried Spin. Its very hard and very fast and spinny. Unlike any other chinese rubber.

Its very good runber, but i recommend booster to soften the sponge

Durability is strong like all chinese rubbers. Probably last over a year

Any possibility that you roughly compare 218 rubber in terms of speed/spin/throw angle with popular rubbers like YJupiter 3 Asia / 729 Battle II / 729 Battle III ?

218 is fastest and has highest throw angle.
Unboosted it has lowest dwell time and spin, so i recommend booster.

Boosted 218: B2 is spinnier and slightly spinnier than 218, but its close.
