Durability of Fastarc and Rakza 7.

Have been playing those rubbers for a while. Normally very carful with my bat. But somehow there is much more dents and chips in the two rubbers, especially for fastarc, compared to the rubbers on my other bats. The volant 1 I had on my previous yinhe 988 jpen has not a single chip, but my fastarc had created edges. I don't even know how I got them. Never had a case of hitting the bat head on the table or table edge. So just wondering is this a normal wear and tear or is something off. I do have edge tape, tho it's electrical tape cut to the thickness and stacked 3 layers on top of one another.

Have you a photo?
I find that a very clean cutting job when applying the rubber first time helps prevent the edges from fraying, nicking etc.
One of the clubs we play against have a cutting machine that cuts the rubbers perfectly (like a factory job) and players that use it have rubbers that look perfect even months later.
But you don't need one of these. Patience and care with a box cutter can do a very clean job also.

Yeah, the edges of the Fastarc will deteriorate a little over time. It doesnt look pretty, but it wont affect gameplay at all.

Last time I changed rubbers, I hit the edge of the table on like the 2nd training session. It looked like a shark took a bite out of the topsheet. But even though it looked ugly, I continued to play with that rubber and I had one of the best seasons ever.

Interesting... so many questions
How old are the rubbers?
Do you ever clean your rubbers?
Do you keep your racket in a case?
Do you use plastic rubber protectors/sheets?
What kind of blade is that? It looks like cork

The racket looks a little 'unloved', maybe this is why the rubbers have chipped a little?
No offence intended btw, it's just that my Racket always looks brand new as I usually clean it during and after every session. That's just me maybe, I'm a little OCD about it!

Ok. This is a relatively new bat. Got it during the Chinese new years. Played with it daily. Somehow it looked way more abused that my previous bat with much more milage. The handle indeed is cork. It's chewed up as the sweat disintegrated it. Had to keep the rest from falling apart by using super glue. Can't save those corners tho. After every play I use a cellulose sponge and rubber cleaner sold by decathlon to clean my rubbers, and I have a case for it. I don't have rubber protectors tho, so used a sheet of baking paper. It collects dust very very easily. Just taking it out to take this picture resulted in the dust particles.

I kinda thought I loved this blade? Why is it so sissy, can't stand to mild usage.

Mine look like this after 8 months:

And I dont clean it with any kind of cleaner. I just clean it by breathing onto the rubbers and wiping it dry before I put it in my case.

I put it in a hard case and 'protect' the rubbers with the black Nittaku paper sheet that comes with the rubbers.

The shop which i glued the rubbers at threw away those covers.
