Euro Mini Champs-2025 – youth table tennis competition for U11 and U13 players, which will take place from August 29 to 31, 2025, in Schiltigheim, a suburb of Strasbourg, France. The tournament will be organized by the Comité d’organisation (Organizing Committee) consisting of the France Table Tennis Federation (FFTT), the Ligue du Grand Est de Tennis de Table (LGETT), and the Stade Unioniste Schiltigheim Tennis de Table (SUSTT), under the authority of the European Table Tennis Union (ETTU). This will be the 19th edition of the tournament.
The competitions will be held in 4 categories: boys and girls U11 and U13.

Qualifications

Condition of participation
The tournament is open to players and players born in 2012, 2013, 2014 licensed in an ETTU affiliated Federation. The organizer reserves the right to invite one or more delegations from outside the ETTU affiliated federations. Each player(s) may only participate in one category of their choice.

Player registration
  • Each registered Federation can recruit a maximum of 3 players per rank, which is a maximum of 10 players per delegation;
  • The following spots are available to FFTT licensed players who participate individually and whose registration must be verified by the organization (National Entry Officer)
  • If seats remain vacant after the closing of individual entries in French, additional seats may be made available for foreign delegations if they were previously listed on their original registration cards. These players will be placed on a waiting list and accepted or rejected based on the total number of players referred in the tournament bracket.
In all 2 events for girls in draws, the number of players is limited to 96 participants.
In all 2 events for boys in the draws, the number of players is limited to 128 participants.

Playing system
  • For the girls’ events:
    • 1st stage: 24 groups, the 4th of the group will be eliminated and entered in the consolation event.
    • 2nd stage: 24 groups of 3 players composed following the results of the 1st stage. The 3 rd of the group will be eliminated and entered in the consolation event.
    • 3rd stage: 16 groups of 3 players composed following the results of the 2nd stage. The 3rd of the group will be eliminated and entered in the consolation event.
    • The winners and the seconds of the groups of the 3rd stage will be entered in the main draw (32 players).
  • For the boys’ events:
    • 1st stage: 32 groups of 4 players, the 4th of the group will be eliminated and entered in the consolation event.
    • 2nd stage: 24 groups of 4 players composed following the results of the 1st stage. The 4th of the group will be eliminated and entered in the consolation event.
    • 3rd stage: 24 groups of 3 players composed following the results of the 2nd stage. The 3rd of the group will be eliminated and entered in the consolation event.
    • 4th stage: 16 groups of 3 players composed following the results of the 3rd stage. The 3rd of the group will be eliminated and entered in the consolation event.
    • The winners and the 2nd of the groups of the 4th stage will be entered in the main draw (32 players).
Main event
MAIN DRAW PLACES 1 to 32


It will be composed in each category by a draw of 32 players by KO and a complete ranking.
The winners and runner-ups of the groups of the last stage will be drawn following the ITTF rules and ETTU ranking (U13).

Consolation event

The players non-qualified for the main draw will take part mandatory to the consolation event which will be held from Saturday morning to Sunday noon. The system of play will be adapted to the number of participants. The matches will be umpired by the players. Any player who will refuse to umpire could be disqualified by the Referee.

Duration of the matches

All the matches shall be played best of 5 games.

After several preliminary rounds, Aiden Braekmans has reached the main table (last 32). He is not the only Belgian as there is another compatriot of his among the last 32 players.

Euro Mini Champ’s - a large table tennis tournament for mini-cadets, which takes place every year in France and this one in 2022 will be the 16th in a row. It is usually organized over three days at the end of August. It involves ages - 11- and 12-year-old athletes, the so-called mini-cadets, in English - Hopes. In fact, it is an unspoken European Championship for the smallest athletes, and almost all European countries take part in it with pleasure. The tournament is held Comité d’organisation (organizing committee of the tournament) consisting of: France Table Tennis Federation (FFTT) , Ligue du Grand Est de Tennis de Table (LGETT) and Stade Unioniste Schiltigheim Tennis de Table (SUSTT) under patronage European Table Tennis Union ( ETTU). Competitions are held in 4 categories: men's and women's categories among 11- and 12-year-olds, in 2022, due to the reformatting of categories in youth table tennis, players in the U11 and U13 categories are invited.

Sometimes the Organizing Committee of the Euro Mini Champ's-2019 invites a special guest, the so-called Tournament Patron. Tennis players from other continents also often came to French Schiltigheim, for example, many players from the USA and Japan were found on the application lists in 2018.
