Euro Mini Champs-2026 is a youth table tennis competition for 11-, 12- and 13-year-old players, which will take place from 28 to 30 August 2026 in Schiltigheim, a suburb of Strasbourg, France. The tournament will be organised by the Comité d’organisation (Organising Committee), comprising the France Table Tennis Federation (FFTT), Ligue du Grand Est de Tennis de Table (LGETT) and Stade Unioniste Schiltigheim Tennis de Table (SUSTT), under the auspices of the European Table Tennis Union (ETTU). This will be the 20th edition of the tournament.
The competition will feature 6 events: boys’ and girls’ singles in the U11, U12 and U13 age categories.
Qualification
Conditions of participation
The tournament is open to players born in 2013, 2014 and 2015 and registered with a national association affiliated with the ETTU.
The organiser reserves the right to invite one or more delegations from countries outside the ETTU.
Each player may participate in only one event of their choice.
Events
Six events will be contested:
- boys born in 2013 or later (U13) — the number of participants is limited to 64 players;
- boys born in 2014 or later (U12) — the number of participants is limited to 64 players;
- boys born in 2015 or later (U11) — the number of participants is limited to 128 players;
- girls born in 2013 or later (U13) — the number of participants is limited to 48 players;
- girls born in 2014 or later (U12) — the number of participants is limited to 48 players;
- girls born in 2015 or later (U11) — the number of participants is limited to 96 players.
- each delegation may enter a maximum of 10 players. In the U13 and U12 boys’ events, a maximum of 3 players may be entered in total, with no more than 2 players in either age category. The same limits apply to the U13 and U12 girls’ events;
- in the U11 boys’ event, each delegation may enter a maximum of 3 players;
- in the U11 girls’ event, each delegation may enter a maximum of 3 players;
- the next available places will be allocated to French players entered individually. Their entries must be approved by the Organising Committee (the person in charge of the talent identification and development programme);
- if places remain available after the deadline for individual French entries, additional places may be allocated to foreign delegations, provided that the respective players were previously indicated on their original entry forms. These players will be placed on a waiting list and accepted or rejected depending on the total number of entries in the respective event.
- For the U11 girls’ event:
- 1st stage: 24 groups of 4 players; the player finishing 4th in the group is eliminated and enters the consolation event.
- 2nd stage: 24 groups of 3 players, formed according to the results of the 1st stage; the player finishing 3rd in the group is eliminated and enters the consolation event.
- 3rd stage: 16 groups of 3 players, formed according to the results of the 2nd stage; the player finishing 3rd in the group is eliminated and enters the consolation event.
- The group winners and runners-up from the 3rd stage qualify for the main draw (32 players).
- For the U11 boys’ event:
- 1st stage: 32 groups of 4 players; the player finishing 4th in the group is eliminated and enters the consolation event.
- 2nd stage: 24 groups of 4 players, formed according to the results of the 1st stage; the player finishing 4th in the group is eliminated and enters the consolation event.
- 3rd stage: 24 groups of 3 players, formed according to the results of the 2nd stage; the player finishing 3rd in the group is eliminated and enters the consolation event.
- 4th stage: 16 groups of 3 players, formed according to the results of the 3rd stage; the player finishing 3rd in the group is eliminated and enters the consolation event.
- The group winners and runners-up from the 4th stage qualify for the main draw (32 players).
- For the U12 and U13 girls’ events:
- 1st stage: 12 groups of 4 players; the player finishing 4th in the group is eliminated and enters the consolation event.
- 2nd stage: 12 groups of 3 players, formed according to the results of the 1st stage; the player finishing 3rd in the group is eliminated and enters the consolation event.
- 3rd stage: 8 groups of 3 players, formed according to the results of the 2nd stage; the player finishing 3rd in the group is eliminated and enters the consolation event.
- The group winners and runners-up from the 3rd stage qualify for the main draw (16 players).
- For the U12 and U13 boys’ events:
- 1st stage: 16 groups of 4 players; the player finishing 4th in the group is eliminated and enters the consolation event.
- 2nd stage: 12 groups of 4 players, formed according to the results of the 1st stage; the player finishing 4th in the group is eliminated and enters the consolation event.
- 3rd stage: 12 groups of 3 players, formed according to the results of the 2nd stage; the player finishing 3rd in the group is eliminated and enters the consolation event.
- 4th stage: 8 groups of 3 players, formed according to the results of the 3rd stage; the player finishing 3rd in the group is eliminated and enters the consolation event.
- The group winners and runners-up from the 4th stage qualify for the main draw (16 players).
In each age category, the main event is played in a knock-out format (elimination after a defeat), with a complete ranking of places.
The U11 main draws consist of 32 players, while the U12 and U13 main draws consist of 16 players.
The winners and runners-up of the groups from the final stage are drawn into the main draw in accordance with ITTF rules and the ETTU ranking (for the U13 category).
Consolation event
Players who do not qualify for the main draw are required to participate in the consolation event, which will be held from Saturday morning until Sunday noon. The competition format will be adapted according to the number of participants.
Matches will be umpired by the players themselves. Any player who refuses to umpire may be disqualified by the Referee.
Playing format
All matches are played as best of five games (first to 3 games).
