Has he trained like normal after olympics? Would he be world top 5 player? Very interesting move.
The latest in the media points in that direction, that he has been keeping himself active and practicing.
Curious to see what signing for Saarbrücken will mean for his supposed plans on playing in the Chinese Super League / National Games.

Just by looking at his vlog with Timo watching football matches, he looks like he was actively planning on spending time in Germany and bailing on the CNT. He even looked happier in the those vlogs than during practice or even matches.
It’s good that he’s charting an independent path instead of being a lackey for the CNT for another grueling Olympic cycle, having already achieved all the major titles available.

I think it is sad that he has to withdraw from international tournaments. He is still good and can still beat anybody in the Top 10 right now. But I guess CNT has other young players to promote now.

The squad was already so packed in the current season. I wonder whether Ionescu stays in the line-up, he was the best player bringing +8 points, while Jorgic made -1.
Although Darko is clearly a stronger player with numerous accolades.
