Fastest blade possible!

Hi guys, my mate is looking to buy a new blade and he wants the fastest possible blade there is. Will look at anything but balsa and price isn't a factor. I've heard that the Schlager carbon is pretty fast but are there any other blades out there that are EXTREMELY fast? He only wants to put some older rubbers on it and slap and play around. :) :) :) :)

A 1-ply Hinoki blade is also very fast if you can find one. Here in the UK we can't get Darker or Juic without ordering from Japan but there are still some Joola Genesis about - sometimes at lower prices because they are discontinued by Joola. Other than that the Butterfly T5000/Tamca blades are rated as very fast as are the Andro Treiber K OFF and the Adidas Fibertec Power OFF+.

I sense this is one of those things where there is a huge amount of manufacturer's advertising tripe to wade through in order to get to the truth !!

I think if we're going to recommend blades which are no longer current products - Joola MC1 ,Butterfly Amultart (??) - it would be helpful to say who/where still has some to sell if we know. I'll start - I mentioned the Joola Genesis yesterday; in the UK both Tees Sport and Bribar are currently showing this blade on their websites. Bribar are 30GBP cheaper ;)

Of course we also have to consider that some products aren't available in every country and have to be imported - but maybe that's getting too complicated !!

You could always try to score one of the rare and elusive Top Secret project Schildkrot 900 bats... Not that many players who operate one of those (especially the opponents!) have survived to tell about it.

What a considered and erudite review of a truly magnificent - if extremely rare - product. Kudos to Der_Echte!

In fact, although it is not really relevant to TT, the review is only equalled by the customer reviews of this product :- http://www.amazon.co.uk/Veet-Men-Ha...=8-1&keywords=veet+hair+removal+cream+for+men

Guys, what about Sardius? I haven't tried many bat so far, so I aint trying to answer the topic question. But from my experience, I can handle Amultart and many another carbon blade I have got chance to try so far, but simply I can't control the Sardius one. Its probably my problem or the bat is truly fast (the fastest imo). What do you think? Im just curious :D

Ok lets go for the "In-production" stuff then.

I don't know if its just me, or the current generations of Butterfly ZLC's and SZLC's are really pretty controllable and not outrageously fast like the Tamca 5000s they used to make. the Jun Mizutani SZLC is easily the best all around blade I have tried this year. Fast enough, but still very very controllable.

Some old fashioned T5000s like Gergely 21, Schlager and Sardius on the other hand..... we Taiwanese used to call the Schlager Carbon "Piece of metal plank" :D

Xiom Hayabusa ZXi, DONIC Ovtcharov CarboSpeed and TB T5000 are probably the fastest things I have tried and still can be found on the market.
This Stiga Titanium 5.4 is worth a mention too. Not sure if they are still around though. I know there are still some stocks left in Asia.

fastest! Sardius is a monster to tame with a very solid feel. The old one(whithout serial numbers and metal logo) has a raw power with great feel. Last time i checked Japan already stopped production of this beauty but they are willing to make again with a minimum of 100 pcs per transaction
