I have registered for the MVTTC Winter Classic in 3 events: O40, Open, and Under 2200. Tourney is this Saturday.

List of players
http://www.mvttc.net/2015winter/players/

In USA, we classify players by a rating system. more points means you are higher level. When you register for an event, if it is not an age event, but a rating event, your rating has to be UNDER the cutoff for the event. I am rated 1918 inn USA, so I cannot play in Under 1900, because I am rated over 1900. I can play in all higher events, like U2000, U2200, U2400, Open, Etc...

There are currently 26 players registered and I am currently ranked #2 by rating in the two events there is a cash prize. I haven't played or practice very much in the last 16 months as there is next to zero TT over here and I gotta drive way too far for a couple hours of it. My rating is likely higher than my true level, but I won't know it until I do the tourney, right?

At MyTT, I made a joke thread about losing ratings points.

If you play enough tourneys and events often enough, the truth will come out about your playing level one way or another.

Maybe I can battle on with the inspiration of the Modfied Kanaph and the BEAST Allround Evolution.

Hopefully, I bring the spaghetti can I pasted the poster of this to, place it on the table and ask a bystander to open it up on my behalf...

I had to drive through a snowstorm on a Dukes of hazard road in the Altima taking 1.5 hrs to get through 20 miles of tug hill lake effect snow zone. Took the expressway home for an extra 40 miles to trip, but it was safer. Got home and my 125 meter driveway had two feet of snow in it. I had to park the car and use snow blower 1.5 hrs to clear the way to drive in, but the bad part was I had to walk 125 meters through knee to nut high snow with drifts just to get to the garage to get out the snow blower and I was already pretty wore out haha.

Now everything is cleared and we are all safe.

Saw Hook'Em Snivey at the tourney we even had a match in U2200 group.

I will lose a big pile of points, somehow failed to take one opponent serious enough and paid for it, max payload point loss. Other losses were to better opponents/higher rated.

Except for that one loss with max point hit, I defeated everyone under my level. I was expecting to lose to at least 3-4 1750-1800 level players. That is the level I had been playing in Boston TTC when I visit.

I made finals of O40 (expected result) and Semis of U2200 (expected result given my ranking). Won 4 Lost 1 O40 and Won 3 Lost 1 U2200 and Won 4 Lost 2 in Open

What I did great was fight when I was tired. This dude is almost on wrong side of 50 with zero regular TT, so I shouldn't have any business playing more than 88-10 matches. I got through Open qualification group, defeated an 1800 player who will soon have my former 1900 rating, and got through another opponent to make finals. I lost 2-4 in a very tight and entertaining match -9, 9, -5, 10, -9, -9 if I had a little power remaining in waist to dip the wiast and use legs on opening FH, I coulda won it.

Hook'em Snivey in a few poses. (MyTT)
