Selling a rare piece of table tennis history. This is a Butterfly Cypress-S from the late 80s/early 90s, featuring the legendary Black Metal Tag (Kurochou). As many of you know, the wood quality from this era is exceptional—sourced from old-growth Kiso Hinoki that is increasingly hard to find today.
- Type: Japanese Penhold (JPen)
- Composition: 1-Ply Kiso Hinoki
- Condition: Vintage / Used. The blade has been played with and shows character. There is some wear on the cork handle and minor surface residue from previous rubbers, but the core wood integrity and grain are excellent. No deep cracks or structural damage.
- Feel: Deep "dwell" and that classic Hinoki "catapult" effect that modern multi-ply blades can't replicate.
