martin jezo made it to division 2

4th division in 2019-2020

Martin never played in 3rd or 2nd
in fact when he played 4th, he was on the "bottom part" of the team (there is up and down, he played down)

I have over a dozen players playing in 1st, 2nd and 3rd Germany, Martin's level is way too low to even feature in the 3 tiers of German Bundesliga.

He said before he wants to play in junior national team. Don't know how it's possible without represent internationally
He still doesn't seem to know exactly what he wants besides for to be an elite table tennis player. As for being realistic, still not there yet either...

He didn’t say national
He said club junior team

But same thing - his goal is unachievable

Its been 4 months since he posted his goal and he has yet to find expert support personal.

He thinks he can wait till next summer to train for some months.
While other kids are making the gap wider and wider by training full time for the past few years

Really makes no sense when even making the USA junior team, much less adult team, at this point is a very very long shot

He is a loss kid
But read post 1 and then follow by post 2

He has indicated over many threads that he wants to play for a junior team of a TTBL club. This thread is no different.

When new mods get appointed in maybe the next few years, they should set a minimum age rule for the forum. Kid should be asking his parents to ask questions

how about when I get to 2300 I call you
my goal is to get 2300 in 1.5 years from now so i will be a little over 14
1800 to 2300 in 1.5 years is possible but extremely extremely difficult. Pretty much impossible if you aren't training with top coaches at top clubs.

Even if you hit 2300 by age 14, you will still be too low level to qualify for the USA U15 boys team. And definitely too low for the Germany U15 boys team.

Very few U15 players go on to become professional at the adult ages.

I think he means Borussia Düsseldorf junior team. Borussia has around 10 teams, their second team plays in NRW Oberliga which is semi pro, with TTR ranging from 1900 up to 2300. They also have couple of junior teams. This is not like other sports where you play for a club and work your way thru the ranks, rarely somebody from the second or the junior team played in the first team, usually when they are missing some player their coach Danny Heister steps in. In order to get you noticed you have to make some waves internationally first so you can get on their radar or you are a special wonderkid talent like Kanak.

I think the harder part is going from 2300 to 2600 and beyond. At 2300 level, everyone is training seriously and consistently. Every opponent is solid, and getting a win is hard. I think you will have to sacrifice your "normal life" to go to 2600, that means very little time for family and friends, getting mostly C and D on report card or even dropping out of school.

No. there are many 2100 and 2200s on u15 usa team. few 2300s
Most of the players on the U15 team will not turn pro. Many of them will go to financially safer careers. Heck even players with real professional level talent often don't go truly pro - Nikhil Kumar and Sharon Alguetti come to mind. Those kids had others competing with them at the junior levels whose names I struggle to remember now because they didn't go anywhere. Ariel Hsing could have turned pro but didn't - there was too much money to be made taking advantage of connections witn Warren Buffett to do that. I remember there was a kid that was a contemporary of Kanak that put a lot into the sport and to be fair had a silver medal at a national champs to show for it but not much more. Was also another kid from Cali called Victor I remember who used ro compete with the Alguettis but again didnt play much after the junior days. And these kids showed much more promise than you currently do.

Long story short - you are way off the career trajectory for a sure thing professional career. Now there are players who go into what I would describe as the hustling professional career- they get good enough to play at 2400‐2500 levels and can coach and play in foreign leagues but are not going to be serious national level or Olympic contenders. Because many of them would make more money doing traditional jobs, they tend to be rare but they do exist. Thinking of some of the YouTube influencers and coaches in TT. If you do really well, that is your far more likely career trajectory. Your game doesn't scream incredible athleticism or smarts at the moment. You have a lot of work to do to break the mold in a good way.
