Good Forehand Rubbers instead of Tenergy 05?

What level are you roughly playing?
Don't have to go into massive detail but a bit of back story helps.

Your blade and rubbers before 05.

I think everyone's made some good comments.

Xiom is a good call along with fastarc.

09C is a premium product but might be a punt if it doesn't work for you.

Not sure if this is on your radar but donic barracuda or even a thinner 05 if you can move on your other 05's.

Cheers
I play table tennis since 2022 and got a german ttr rating of 1500. I have heard that that the usattr rating should be a bit higher about like 200-300 points so in usattr I would be roughly around a 1750. I have improved a good amount for 2 years and previously I have played the Stiga Allround Evolution with the Rozena 2.1mm on forehand and the Joola Dynaryz Inferno 2.0mm on the backhand which I have got gifted and I am satisfied with it. I tend to play very spinny with forehand and backhand but not with ultra fast strokes. I'd consider myself a controlled attacker with prioritizing spin and placement over pace. I think that sums it up.

If you're prepared to really read spin and adjust to every single shot D05 is actually quite the killer with very high speed and spin which can really overwhelm opponent's defences. It's just you have to work extra hard on serve receive, pushes, etc... which is imo also quite rewarding because if you can control these delicate shots with D05 other rubbers will be like easy mode for you.

Sooo....
I have played the Tenergy 05 not that long maybe a month by now and I like it but there are things that have suffered with my rubber change here I'll list pros and cons I had when switching from my previous Rubber(Rozena)

Pros:
-Overall Shot Quality is better
-It's faster which helps finishing a point easier

Cons:
-Control especially in counters I just think it leaves the bat to early its not like I miss every shot and I do feel good in the short game but I do think something grippier wold help to feel the ball more before it leaves my bat.

-Flat Shots and Smashes are not as reliable as they were before maybe it's because it reacts more to incoming spin and I need to adjust my Technique but I don't feel to safe executing those shots.

So what I thought about was, getting a rubber medium-hard to hard range, that doesn't have to be as fast T05(it shouldn't be like slow or anything), that also gives more control, grip and similar amount of spin as the T05 does

Grateful for those who leave me some Recommendations!
What blade will you be using this on btw?

+1 vote for T05 Hard
sigh, I would love to be able to wield this magical weapon but my level is too low, this item is currently locked from me. 😭

Need more XP to level up to equip this item.

You could try Xiom Vega Pro and Donic Bluefire M3 and see if you like those, as people say they are both very similar to Tenergy 05.
I agree with Xiom Vega Pro. But if you are going for the Donic Bluefire series M3 is too soft to be comparable to Tenergy 05. I have tried Donic Bluefire series M2 on my backhand and I like it. I really think M1 will be more comparable to Tenergy 05 if you want to go that route.

another vote on vega pro and nittaku g-1. both easier to play tenergys with a bit less bounce and more direct so better for smashes. but they are also a bit slower. a more modern and dynamic choice for the plasticball could be vega x or victas ventus extra. coming from rozena, i would say you test ventus extra first, because it behaves pretty simmilar but is harder with a bit more spin and more speed. it is also really easy to play and not as spin sensitive as tenergy 05.

what i also test right now is bluestar A1 and this for me is the same as a normal spinny tensors like G-1 and 05 but with a bit more hybrid feeling. easier to serve and receive and open up but also bouncy and fast and easy to play. so if you get the softer version A3 or A2, i can imagine you could also be quite happy with it.

but i seriously advice against anything like dignics 09c or hurricane 3. totally different rubber concept. needs different kind of stroke and a whole different playing system. if you were happy with 05 and rozena and just have the points you did describe you will just waste money and be more confused about what to play going that far away from the feeling you liked in my opinion.

Tenergy 05fx
Rozena
Xiom Vega Europe

05fx is even less consistent
Rozena is good but he came from that
Vega euro is good, but rozena is better.

I think g1 is a better alternative. And the rakza 7 is better control rubber with good speed and spin.

I was worrying that there were no Chinese rubbers recommended yet 🤣
It's sticky of course like traditional Chinese rubber but don't behave like the others rubbers, this isn't dead like H3 and doesn't bouncy like BTY for me it's the best of two worlds....

Vid it's the one I use after 2 years, I train 3 times at week and from October to June one match weekly tournaments.

Price is half or less than a BTY TGY!
