That doesn't make sense; the softer sponge will compress sooner/more. The reaction force will just be lower on the rebound.

softer sponges would compress and adsorb easier and release quicker too
If you heard the term mushy, then try spin with a mushy H3 rubber. Little spin and little power.
You need a firm sponge to bite onto the ball.

Of course, I am presuming you can hit into the hard sponge, otherwise if you only playing with topsheet, then please ignore the above.

40 is ideal if you are coming from 39
41 and higher would be more difficult to use
Most people settle with 40

Yes if I had to test it would be 40 I wouldn’t realistically be interested in the 41. Just wanted peoples opinions on how they each differ.
