We europeans have no problem with China, sometimes it takes time to arrive because of the Houthis doing their sh*t in the Red Sea. Either way, China completely owns us lol, as Qatar. There are customs fees that's for sure, for France if it's for an order higher than 150€, then there are VAT + customs fees + application fees. That's why there's an insane amount of small parcels arriving from China so the french government wants to apply tariffs on small parcels. But... geopolitics and diplomacy matters more.

It's WAY cheaper to make 2 separate 149€ orders than to make a single 298€ one. 400€ total after VAT for the 2 separate orders, 465€ total for the single one after customs fees+VAT+application fees ! And it's easy to come close to that 149€ mark with blades, rubbers, shoes, boosters, shirts, etc.

672€ total for a single 3*149= 447€ order , 600 only for 3 separate 149€ orders, and it goes on and on...

EDIT: I forgot to mention it was 149€ + 20€ shipping, 20€ shipping being common now for countries outside the EU. Or far from your country. I've paid 20€ shipping for a preamp pedal yesterday on Reverb coming from Tallin in Estonia, and Estonia is a member of the EU, and uses the € as its currency.
