For some reason I really didnt like H8-80 today. Maybe i overboosted it and it became softer and mushier. It felt even slower today and unresponsive. But the result is clear in that this is not a rubber that responds well to booster.

Better change to a stiffer blade tomorrow to see if it can play any better.

Well I tried the H8-80 boosted with 2 layers of seamoon. Its still not very fast, but its lively enough. Somehow, i really like this rubber. It grips the ball very well and lifts underspin very consistently. You can create enough speed when you punch through enough. The push feels good, and feels very dwelly overall.
The benefits is due to that is not a very fast rubber? A slower rubber is easier to use in most cases I think. I like and use the 8-80 because it is a relatively slow (but not dead) rubber. It is a good mix of softer tensors and classic chinese rubbers. A professional player might hit through the sponge (at least on forehand) but for me it is great to have that consistency you are talking about.
