I’m using viscaria with H3 39 commercial boosted on forehand, and dignics 05 on BH, and i’m not having great results with this setup. Guess my forehand is ok, but BH is really off, the biggest issue is that i can’t produce enough power in BH to engage the sponge of dignics, but i can use the H3 sponge in BH, and can also use the dignics on FH, but really hate this combination.
My biggest issue is that i have 0 confidence in the BH with dignics, and can’t really control it, i asked several people, and they give some sugestion:
1 - keep viscaria and try controlled rubber on BH like hurricane 3-50
2 - step out from viscaria and goes to inner carbon blade, as 5 ply wood would be too slow, also put controlled rubber on BH, like vega korea.
3 - go to 5 ply wood, keep same rubbers.
4 - go to 5 ply wood, with vega korea on BH
What do you guys think?
I already have 2 spare blades: an jaehyun TMXi regular and xiom hayabusa off pro

If you really want to change the rubber, softer is a good starting point, since it will do more work for you.
Dignics 80 isnt softer as far as i know, but still easier to play for most.

3 quick tips for power:
-usage of legs, move into the ball/go from a low to a slightly more upright position.
-flick your wrist at contact
-rotate your body, if you want total killshots

whats your rating? i tried D05 on a friend's super ALC harimoto and I hated it. I use D09C on my viscaria for backhand and i love it. when i'm training on my robot sometimes i twiddle and use my hurricane on the backhand and its still a lot of fun. soon i'm going to try a 38 degree prov OS hurriane neo 3 on my backhand.

If you don’t attack on the BH, D05 isnt very good for you since it needs active play. Maybe think about a rubber that does more of the work for you so that uou can set up your FH. Maybe something like T19 would do you good. Keep the viscaria.

D05 and D09C are my two favourite BH rubbers for different purposes (can’t decide which I really want to keep) but that’s because I’m a two winger looper with a slightly stronger BH. Both these rubbers aren’t the greatest if you don’t attack continuously with your BH.

You will either love it or hate it. I use a 37 prov H3 for my BH and don’t love the feeling after a year of using D09C/D05. I feel like uou shoukd stick with 09C as it’s probably the best BH rubbers for BH loopers

Really hard to say unless we have an idea of your rating.

There won't be a consensus on equipment style. What I found helped me was using equipment that was relatively slow. Fast enough that I'm not straining during a shot but slow enough that it'll force you to use your body during strokes. That will help you with control as the paddle won't be doing much for you.

If you get worried about overshooting the table constantly what you're using is too fast. If you progress to a point where you can't physically hit past more defensive players, time to increase equipment speed slightly.

Rinse and repeat until you feel comfortable. H3 on the forehand is fine, have the backhand be a grippy rubber without much capatult.catapult. I find that it's easier to change blades during the progression phase.

D05 is probably too hard and fast to control. so rozena could be a better choice. it is softer, slower and easier to control

Rozena is slower but also bouncier (earlier "catapult" effect) than D05. Less controlled when receiving serves (Rozena is less grippy which might help sometimes but also softer which lets the ball sink in more...), in the short game or when setting up loops (e.g. long push). D05/D09C (depending on preferences/technique) are great if one tries to BH flick aggressively almost every serve and if in position to (counter) loop everything else due to their harder sponge and high ceilings but better footwork and technique are a must in almost every situation... Choose your enemy ;)

As always: it depends a lot on ones playing style. Some rubbers (or rubber/blade combinations) want to be played in a certain way but if they don't fit ones style it is better to switch as fast as possible (at least for me it is easier to switch BH rubbers than FH rubbers 1)).

The question is what @pedro.dantas likes about H3 on BH and what he is willing to invest on improving his BH. Boosted H3(N) 37 or 38 on BH are definitely one of the best options available overall but they also need good technique and footwork. Less demanding than D05 or D09C in many situations but also one of the most predictable and stable rubbers (if not boosted too much). H8-20 37/H8-80 37 might be an option. Faster on less powerful inputs than H3(N)). Glayzer and Glayzer 09C depending on the TO's preferences might also work well. G/G09C are less demanding than their Dignics upgrades but have their limits especially further back.

1) had that phase when I started playing TT again around seven years ago as a (now aged but) very FH oriented player that had to reimagine his playing style and tried lots of bouncy ESN rubbers, Tenergy and what not on BH. The better my BH became the slower the rubbers got...
