I've owned like 40 blades and tried a bunch more from club members and a bunch of different rubbers. I did find the one I feel like I can play like a pro with(Stiga Inspira Hybrid Carbon) and discovered perhaps I like large head(158-159mm) fast carbon blades with standard thickness/flexibility around 6mm or a little less. My EJ status may be getting revoked as I've stuck with my current blade for over 8 months now and have hardly bought anything new. If you haven't found the one you love, keep pumping those rookie EJ numbers up if you can afford it and maybe one day you will also find the one you are happy to settle down with.

I recommend checking out large head blades. They may be slightly less maneuverable but the pay off is the feeling of stability and control and spin/hold feeling even at high speeds and may be what is missing from the feel of standard 157mm sized blades that worked better for the older small/celluloid balls. The other large head blades I liked that are relatively affordable are the Sanwei Paramid and Hynover. Fast and controllable.
My coach offers me Sanwei Paramid with Yinhe Mercury. Is this suitable for beginners / kids ?
