Hi,

Wondering how the following 3 butterfly blades compare - Timoboll spirit vs Timoboll ALC and Viscaria. I see the spirit is considerably cheaper - which has the best control especially in the short game and less spin sensitive? If you are moving from an inner carbon and want to try for first outer carbon blade and not lose a bit of the wood feel and the dwell time for control. Is it better to go for a lighter one like 86 g or heavier 92g. Thanks. Steve

Bascially all the BTY outer ALC blades are the same with minuscule differences only top players care about. Just pick one that is your favourite design and be done with it
i am afraid they are not the same, especially the old version Timo Boll ALC has thinner handle. the new ones is thicker and harder.

Revoldia CNF would be a woody feel but slower outer fiber blade from Butterfly. Tho this is not carbon.
The main difference between the TBS, Viscaria, FZD ALC, TB ALC is the handle shape and design. Pick the one that is most comfy if you buy one of the Butterfly blades but basically every brand has their own outer carbon ALC blade nowadays you can look around.

Spirit and tbalc are identical with updated looks. The viscaria is more back heavy. Other than that they're identical in composition.

Look, they are all the same, period. So grab the one you want, it won't make any difference.

Oh, and you forgot the Zhang Zike ALC, the Fan Zhendong ALC, guess what ? they are exactly the same as the 3 blades you mentioned !

:ROFLMAO:

Jianan Yuan came from a TBS to a Viscaria, she didn't find much change to the blade. In fact her old TBS was getting too much slower with age. The only "tech" is in the TB ALC handle, but that's pretty much all, what's common with all those guys Zhang Jike, FZD, Timo ?

They all started with a... Viscaria. And they kept theirs a very long time before having a signature blade !
