It's a real issue in choosing a rubber here coz it's so humid. You don't wanna have such wild fluctuations in playability.
I found yesterday that Rakza 7 is very playable in humidity.
Fastarc G-1 to me felt like it is completely unbothered by just about anything.

It's just physics. Most likely what is happening is that surface debris is being cleared out using the cleaner; and hey, if it doesn't degrade your rubber, then you're using the right one. Supposedly the DHS Hurricane Cleaner is fine for tacky rubbers and won't damage them much at all.
Well, the thing is, too much quantity does damage the rubber. On the bottle it is said to use 2/3 small drop, and use our hand to spread it. I found many player putting too much liquid and using a sponge to dry up the rubber. It is supposed to dry up itslelf like hands sanitizer. I Bought the loki cleaner, apparently it works for Tacky.

Yeah, probably. I find a very small amount of water is better too, spread it with the hand, then wipe it off with some paper towel. Just to remove debris and nothing more. If you soak it in water, it will absorb it, and rubber doesn't like water.

I tried water since my bottle opened itself in the bag, did not save the rubber. Odly enough, only my Quan Shi Bao got damaged by not having the cleaner. The H8-80 topsheet is fine.

I swap out sheets when the sponge is gone (2-3 months) and not when the topsheet is gone, so I don't know for sure how my method works long-term anymore, but FWIW I have a 12 year old Super FX that still had okay grip. I just used water and protector sheets with it.

I have an OLD TG2, with super tacky. It lift the ball so well even after 10y, for like 10s and more. But somehow when you play, the ball slips, it. The sponge is dead 10 times tho. I did started boosting with it, and reboost it so many times. 3 times falco, 2 seamons, and many hours of play lol.

Adhesion is mostly constant, so it adds let's say 5N of transverse friction. If your stroke force is making 10N of friction, then it's a huge increase, like in serves. If your stroke force is making 100N of friction, then that 5N is not so much. It's why tackiness doesn't really increase the performance so much in strong shots, but increases it a lot in weaker shots where the contact patch is not as loaded.

Mine also slips a bit, but it's remarkably good for 12y. You can play with it.
