How to make flared handle close to a straight handle

Hi all

I have not liked my handle since I bought the blade and have been trying to make it as close as possible. I have ordered grip tape to try that in there.

I think it’s gonna be too thin and I like the feeling of wood. A straight handle should be easier to reshape in case it’s too large, but I think a flared would end up puny. But if you like the tape stuff it may be OK. I would not try this though...

I usually use flared handles, but the old Tamca 5000 handle is a straight flared handle, so not
‘concave’ I really like this type of handle but they are not really that common, having said that the std concave flared handles are fine!!

How about getting a custom blade maker to make you 6 handles the exact size and shape you want and ship them to you... that would be less than the cost of a blade.

Just sayin'...
