Hunter Apex AC blade from Paddle Palace? (Outer ALC with Limba/Ayous/Koto plies)

Hi,

I recently got a chance to try a club mate's blade for about 10 minutes. He was using this Apex Hunter AC blade, with Nittaku Genextion on it. First impression is that it is fast and crisp, low medium throw, nice sound/feedback. Wondering if anyone had a longer experience using this blade. There's only 1 other review of this product on Youtube.

Also, per Paddle Palace customer service, the composition of the blade is Limba - AC carbon - Ayous - Koto - Ayous - AC carbon - Limba. Isn't weird to have Koto as the center/core ply? I took a picture of the blade, does anyone think this center ply look like Koto or Kiri?

Ultimately, I am consider this blade vs the Butterfly Innerfoce ALC (which is Limba/Limba/ALC/Ayous/ALC/Limba/Limba, both are similarly priced, Butterfly is slightly thicker 5.9/6.0, while the Apex Hunter AC is 5.8.

Looks like kiri. Koto is more yellowish, it is also denser wood which will make the blade heavier and stiffer.
