I'm testing Spinlord Gipfelsturm 1.5 on BH. The transition from LP to these pips did not cause any major difficulties. Gipfelsturm pips are practically the same length as LP, the only difference is that they are very wide and have small gaps between the pips.
The main challenge I'm facing right now (4th workout so far) is the passive block I was used to with LP. With Gipfelsturm you have to find the right angle, just placing the racket is not enough. Due to the small gaps between the pips, the Gipfelsturm is a bit sensitive to rotation, and you need to adapt to that. However, the active block works great. Although it seems to reject a simple, not very low ball, opponents often make mistakes
It's also still hard to get used to the speed of Gipfelsturm (before that I played OX, then 1mm thick Dornenglanz III LP, which are very slow). The chop has to be very, very light, otherwise the ball ends up behind the table.
However, Gipfelsturm is a great counter attack or attack. Attack capabilities and control are at a high level.
So far I'm very happy with what Gipfelsturm is showing and I think everything will only go in the right direction. The decision to switch from LP to these was a good one. Maybe it got a little harder in defense (or at least until I get used to it completely), but it's worth sacrificing that for the possibility of attacks.
By the way, sometimes I try to turn the racket over and play Gipfelsturm FH: it goes quite well. I couldn't adapt to FH with LP.
I will continue to work, so far I am very satisfied with the result
