Mishap with Manika Batra due to a TIBHAR substandard product.
A fellow umpire did delivered to us some circumstances of the given accident.
It was ages ago that ITTF told rubber manufacturers to be twice as careful about the thickness limitations of the rubber topsheet. ITTF instructed all the associaties brands to stop producing rubber sheets ( OX-type) at the margin of limit 2.0 mm, and to always keep the sheets under the limit 1.80 mm. Some brands did responded, and some did not.
Manica Batra was unluckily supplied with a substandard product from TIBHAR, the Grass DTeck 1.9 mm thick without sponge , resulting in a racket control failure December 2025.
TIBHAR did killed Manika Batra to say the least. Ignorance of the laws makes no excuse, you must know.
