I think de minimis exemptions for all nations end on Aug. 29. So importing from any country will need to pay tariffs.

Did anyone order from Amazon JP? Not sure about the policy about importing from Japan. 10% or 15% tariff?

Y'all see this on TT11's site?

Dear Friends,

Starting August 29, new regulations and fees for shipping parcels from Europe to the USA will come into effect. This will inevitably increase the total cost of orders, including shipping and customs clearance. Unfortunately, we cannot yet say exactly by how much, but the increase is certain.

We strongly recommend placing your orders by Monday, August 25, 2025, to save money and avoid these upcoming extra charges.

Not just TT11, but Paddle Palace and Megaspin must be affected as well right? Since they have to import from Germany and Japan and China

The August 29 date concerns small packages under a value of $800, which are no longer exempt from tariffs and detailed paperwork. As a result of this new rule and the chaos surrounding its implementation, many postal services have now completely suspended accepting commercial packages to the US - that's what will lead to an increase of shipping costs (in addition to the tariffs).

PS: this situation could actually help US-based retailers such as Paddle Palace because they're in a better position to absorb increased costs and may win individual customers who used to order directly from abroad

I'd already have been happily patronizing US retailers if they were at all competitive on service and price. But I can tell you from personal experience, dealing with them vs TT11's online customer service is night and day - and you can see the significant price differences for yourself before these changes go into effect. The former is inexcusable, and the latter difficult to understand.

Assuming the tariffs remain in place, wanna wager whether or not Paddle Palace et al "absorb the costs" and keep their prices the same for the next calendar year?

How much have you been paying for shipping charges? Will the price difference (and better customer service) still make up for the extra shipping costs if every individual package has to be sent via FedEx?

Not a dime in shipping costs despite coming from the other side of the world, and they've arrived on my doorstep in three days every time.* Not only that, but on top of their already lower prices they add additional 10% discounts on blades, rubbers, and apparel for every 100€ you order - up to 30%.

*(That's quicker than some of the email response times with domestic sellers. Like I said: night and day difference.)

What will you do after they raise their prices in response to tariffs?

Not necessarily TT specific but the ordering experience from Aliexpress has had no difference (they already include import charges in their prices) throughout all this.
