intentionally netting :)

In this videos are they intentionally bring the ball to the net just for revenge?
example1: in vid1/german open did ma long intentionally bring the ball to the net after wang hao received his serve shor to the
net?
example2:in vid 3 / qatar open after the first point did Ma lin intentionally make the ball go to the net so he can get back from boll's lucky point????

not to mention :
vid 2: when Ma Lin got the ball to the net then it turned out to be wang hao's point
vid 3: the 3rd point was really hilarious , after 5 nets it turned out to be wang Liqin's error in the backhand
PS:i do not own the videos :) enjoy !

I honestly think that it is almost impossible, especially with the risk of having the ball into the net (coz it has to be in open play). However, hitting the edges on serve, I think it's totally do able, since I've done it on countless of time. It's easier to hit the left hand side of the edge (with the serve going down the line).

I don't think it is intentional either. And that is good, because I think it would practically mean the end of the sport if people could do that. About serving on the edge: if someone does that all the time, he will obviously fail a certain amount of times. But as opponent, if u expect the serve to try to hit the edge, I think u have a decent chance of doing a sidespin return that is pretty tough to kill.

Being able to get a net-ball on demand is probably not worth it in the long run! However certain players are more likely to get nets than others. A lot of my game is about keeping the ball low over the net which means I much more likely to get nets than players who have more dip and clearance over the net. I hear about it aaall the time in training from the other guys...
