I'm playing with official umpires for national championships.
My forehand is fine, but I reglued my backhand because there was too big of a edge without rubber. Now it looks like this😅
You can't feel any bumps besides the obvious 2 fingers on the right side.

Can I play with this?🙂
@igorponger you know a lot about rules haha

With official umpires and racket control? I highly doubt it.
https://equipment.ittf.com/#/equipment/manuals -> T9: Racket Control
"Surface Regularity – The racket covering must be flat, continuous, and have a regular
appearance such as in texture and colour. The racket covering should extend up to the limits of
the blade, though the referee may provide guidance regarding the tolerance to be permitted...

3.1. Manual flatness device – Net gauge
A striking surface must be flat. A net gauge laid down with its straight edge on the rubber and observed
against the light should not show a gap between it and the rubber. In the call area, if an umpire is
satisfied with the flatness there is no need to perform a measurement. When measured, the magnitude
of curvature may not be more than 0.2 mm when the shape is convex, and 0.5 mm when the shape is
concave...

3.2. Electronic flatness device...
The measured flatness must be ≥ -0.50 mm and ≤ +0.20 mm."

How did you do it so badly? 😂
I don't know if there will be objections to it but reading from ttarc above there may be cos 0.2mm isn't much at all.
Tbh I'd be more worried about some of my shots maybe being weird with the rubber all ridged like that.
I'd take it off and apply the glue perfectly if it were me 🤷‍♂️

When I have this issue I slide the rubbers up a cm, leaving a straight 1 cm gap at the bottom and it usually fixes the issue.
A layer of this also puts a natural expansion on the rubber, just a few mm but sometimes enough.

Dear friend,
Since legality of this given racket is very iffy, you had better to not enter a national stage with such a bumpy covering. Safety first, you must know 😷

Yours respectfully

Thanks Igor,
I'll be receiving new rubbers to glue.
