I've seen a lot of people recommend me add a sheet of LP OX or inverted on my backhand side of my racket. Ive heard a lot of people try inverted; however, even the cut weight is quite heavy, uncomfortable and almost unplayable.
This is basically my racket:
Armstrong Super Specialty APEX 21 ...

1. Do I need to shave the black area or is it ok if i stick the LP that i buy on there
2. I'm thinking OX Dawei 388D1 or OX 955. any other ideas?

1) You should be good to stick the LP on there.
2) Dawei 388D-1 OX is very light coming out to about 10ish grams when I glued it to one of my CPen blades, but it might be slightly heavier since that JPen head looks longer and wider.
If you are considering using LP on BH side, you could try getting a cheap CPen blade since you can use both sides and don't have to worry if the cork will mess with your angle since that matters if you're going to use LP for blocking, hitting, chopping, etc.

Nah its more for a preventative/last resort thing. Like how when Ma Lin's footwork gets tested with strong angles and he cannot loop the next shot, he will just use his back (RPB side) to chop once and recover his footwork.
