Lite shoes for table tennis

I find table tennis shoes very heavy
Are there any other lite shoes with good support ?

table tennis shoes are one of the lightest shoes made. Compare them to tennis shoes or basketball shoes that are much heavier. I don't think there are any lighter shoes except maybe driving shoes or wrestling shoes.

If you want support, it's not gonna get much lighter. Barefoot shoes are much lighter, but lack support.

Barefoot experienced people have stronger feet and don’t need that support from a shoe.

I use Vivobarefoot Primus Lite III. Its not the absolute lightest you can find, but its in the 230 grams range, I think, and they are more durable than some of the lightest shoes you can find. These are very specialist shoes, mind you, so you have to find the perfect size and they might not work for you. I use a different lacing system to make them lock into my foot better. Its quite expensive, but you can order second hand from revivo.com, which is what I did.

The stability and support that everyone claims the need for will come from the widening of your foot. I like to hike in shoes like Altra and Topo, and I use them for everyday shoes as well to adapt my legs into zero drop and wide toebox.

I am a runner, and I love lightweight minimalist shoes. I started playing in track and field competitive running shoes that was 170 grams on each foot, but running culture has now gone towards lots of cushioning (maximalist) and this model (adidas takumi sen 3) is not in production any more.

Another quick feeted player in my club uses Mizuno Wave Drive NEO 3. They are very light and are made for table tennis players. The Vivobarefoot Primus Lite III shoe is more breathable though.

I use an old pair of Merrell Vapor Glove 3's. Also "barefoot" but I love it. Too bad the Vapor Gloves have become much less minimalist since the 3, and the 3 is nearly impossible to find nowadays
