Hi ze wizard, I'm not certain that I know what you mean. I don't believe LGL ever went to school after he retired and he definitely didn't while playing professionally. He trained from a young age and became one of the first Grand Slam winners for China's Men's team.

He is a master at analyzing technique and tactics, but no he does not have a degree in anything because he never went to school to my knowledge. Most of my Chinese friends all agree that LGL wouldn't need to go to University because he was already talented in that field he didn't need to relearn it.

You know what, I don't really know, but I have a feeling that Mr. Richard is correct here. He trained from an early age for table tennis. He became a pro. He retired and became a coach. I am not sure where he would have fit the education part in. But the work he did to become a pro and then the work he did as a pro was probably quite an education. And since China seems to take care of their table tennis stars, it seems like he should be alright.

Maybe he just did the final exam without going to school... And passed with flying colors ;)
